    FAQ

I watch what I eat, so why do I need to watch what I feed my skin?
You’ve most likely seen an abundance of drugs, such as nicotine, delivered through transdermal patches. Why? Because the skin is the largest organ of the human body and any substance that comes in contact with it is rapidly absorbed directly into the blood stream. It stands to reason that synthetic substances such as parabens and petrochemicals are also absorbed from face and skin creams. Though more research needs to be done in this area, we feel the risk is not warranted.

Are all MGA products certified vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes! A key part of our philosophy is that Max Green Alchemy products be free of animal-derived ingredients and animal testing. Our products are Certified Vegan by Vegan Action [vegan.org], Certified Cruelty Free by The Coalition For Consumer Information On Cosmetics aka [leapingbunny.org] and meet PETA's Cruelty-free and their Vegan standards [peta.org] .

As a matter of fact we're one of the only companies whose products are also free of petrochemical ingredients, GMOs and parabens.

    Are your products organic?
We source as many organic ingredients as possible. The ingredient panels on our products, in our literature and in our web site specify which ingredients are organic or sustainably wildcrafted. Since we source organic ingredients from global suppliers, ingredients meet various organic certification standards. We hope that a comprehensive organic certification scheme will emerge.  However, our company mission is to provide the finest quality personal skin care products using ingredients of 100% plant origin. In addition to the wide variety of traditional essential oils and herbs (most of them organic), we employ modern plant-derived strategies like MSM for its outstanding toning and firming ability that are not yet available in organic form.

What kinds of preservatives are used to keep MGA products shelf stable?
We’re asked this a lot. MGA has developed a proprietary all-botanical preservative system based on plant derived ingredients. Testing indicates that our products are shelf stable for up to 2 years when stored away from heat and sunlight. MGA products are marked with a manufacturing date. Like food, we recommend you consume our products while they are as fresh as possible, preferably within 12 months of opening.

Are MGA products safe for people with chemical sensitivities?
All our products are made with 100% plant-based ingredients. On the most basic level, even plant essential oils, herb and extracts contain chemicals that may not agree with certain individuals. Max Green Alchemy has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not completely satisfied with our product, return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

Are MGA Scalp Rescue products compatible with color-treated hair?
    Yes.
